Students from “St. Patriarh Evtimiy” school in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, held a public debate on the topic of “Processed food and palm oil”, a topic raised in the Food Review. The aim was to examine processed food and palm oil from different perspectives and solve the problem “for or against”. That was achieved by comparing and offering solutions for the benefit of people and nature and by looking for arguments, not just giving opinions. Parents, students and local authorities were invited. As a result, students and families learned about the issue and started to consciously read product labels. Another achievement was that the supply of products containing palm oil at the pavilion was restricted.
